Anita Buehrle
Anita is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in software development, content strategy, and marketing. Most recently, she has been shaping content strategy for Weaveworks, the company that coined the term GitOps. In this role, Anita has authored over 500 articles, in addition to whitepapers, eBooks, and technical how-to guides on containers and Kubernetes. Her work has been featured on platforms such as the AWS blog, Software Architect Newsletter, and The New Stack, among others, making her a recognized voice in the Kubernetes and cloud-native ecosystem.
Previously, Anita worked in the mobile industry, leading a QA team at a startup later acquired by Research In Motion. Her team’s innovations powered the first generation of color-screen graphical user interfaces for BlackBerry devices.
Anita’s career began as a technical writer at Hummingbird. She later managed the docs department at Algorithmics Inc. whose products are used by leading investment banks worldwide.
Anita holds an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Toronto.
